History of Pyramids

Most often we associate the pyramids with the plains of Giza in Egypt.  After all, the Great Pyramid of Khufu (Cheops) is the only surviving ancient wonder of the world.  However, Egypt doesn’t even hold the4 record for the most number of pyramids within its borders, and pyramids have been found on four different continents and are the product of a variety of cultures.  Today’s infographic takes a little journey through the histories of these pyramids, where and why they were built, and what purposed they may have served.
