Presidential Inauguration Facts

Today, one of the hallmarks of our republic and one of the most amazing feats for a government — the peaceful transition of power between opposing parties — will take place when Donald J. Trump is sworn in as the 45th President of the United States at noon.  Since 1797, there have been 57 inaugurals (today is 58) for 44 different men (Grover Cleveland served non-consecutive terms so is counted twice as both the 22nd and 24th Presidents.  [VIA]
